In June 2013, the Times of India reported that India will host "a unique show" in March 2014, showcasing "various designs of waterless toilets" funded through Gates Foundation grants. The show would be a follow-up to the first Reinvent the Toilet Fair in August 2012, where grantees of the Reinvent the Toilet Challenge (RTTC) displayed their innovative on-site sanitation solutions, which were required to cost less than US$ 0.05 per user per day.
