What is Nirmal Gram Puraskar ?
To add vigor to the TSC, in June 2003, GoI initiated an incentive scheme for fully sanitized and open defecation free Gram Panchayats, Blocks, and Districts called the 'Nirmal Gram Puraskar'.The following document from the Government of India gives a broad overview of the purpose and functioning of the programme:
